Call of Duty: Black Ops controller pictures surface
Peripheral maestros Mad Catz has officially unveiled its range of Call of Duty: Black Ops accessories for the PS3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and PC.
First up is the PrecisionAIM controller for the Xbox 360, which sports ‘military inspired’ rubber grips to accommodate those mammoth COD sessions. For those yearning the perfect shot every single time, two new combat buttons on the rear of the controller help you enter ‘Precision Aim’ mode, which slows down feedback from the analog thumbstick and lets you pick off the enemy in the heat of the battle with great accuracy.

The PS3 controller similarly receives the PrecisionAim treatment and ‘military inspired’ rubber grips, plus a built-in rechargeable battery that provides gamers with up to 60 hours of game play from a single charge.
Both Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers will be able to buy OptiCom ProGaming glasses designed by GUNNAR Optiks iAMP lens technology, which are said to enhance game detail and improve focus. Mad Catz also promises to deliver COD: Black Ops gaming headsets to accompany the ProGaming glasses for both consoles.
COD: Black Ops on the Wii which Treyrarch claims will blow you away, also receives the peripheral treatment with separate Wii remote and Wii nunchuck style controllers that include those all important rubber grips for extended game time. An inductive charger will also be available giving Wii controllers up to 15 hours of gaming between charges.
For PC gamers, Mad Catz are set to unleash a PrecisionAIM Mouse bundled with a 2GB USB Dog Tag, a Black Ops Stealth Gaming surface (mousemat) and a pre-programmed controller which can be customized with Windows 7, Vista and XP.
Prices for the Xbox 360 and PS3 controllers are likely to be around $50 (£33). For the Wii controller and inductive charger, it is likely to be around $40 (£26) each. ProGaming glasses are likely to set you back around $100 (£65), while there is now news on pricing for the headsets.
You can expect to pay around $100 (£65) for the PrecisionAIM mouse and USB dog tag bundle, $30 (£20) for the controller and $20 (£13) for the mousemat, which we are sure you can probably do without.
We fully expect this collection of COD accessories to launch when Call of Duty: Black Ops arrives in the UK on all platforms on the 9th November 2010.
