Apple nets up to £790 million from iTunes Music sales

Apple’s iTunes Music store, could have earned the company anything up to a whopping £790 million, following news that the 10 billionth song had been downloaded this week.

 

It’s widely thought that the tech giant retains around 10 per cent of the price of every song sold on the store, although Apple itself has never released any official figures.

HTC Incredible handset caught on camera

A new section of an inner-city ring road in Derby is to be named after Tomb Raider Lara Croft.

As T3 reported last year, the public was asked to vote on the name for a new £36.2m road in the city, with perhaps predictable results.

The biggest telecoms companies in the EU, Deutsche Telekom and France Telecom, reported big drops in profit for 2009.

Windows Phone 7 handset from LG in September?

Certain Chinese whispers suggest that the first Windows Phone 7 Series handset could be available as early as September and may well be emblazoned with the LG logo.

 

The Chinese incarnation of Engadget is reporting that LG could be the company to pull the trigger on the eagerly-awaited new operating system, following a chat they had with LG Mobile bosses, in Korea, during Chinese New Year.
